it's a fantastic piece of's all you need.a multi platform (linux, windows and mac) image viewer, editor and's beautiful, very's fast, really very's smart.and it's free.if you try to use it for the first time you'll never use another be better only if it was open source.

been using since last year and plenty of beautifulcursors for free on their site, the only difference between free and pay is that you can get more control over behaviour but free still does a lot off 3d.

the only change here, i believe, is the version number. this program, "winner of pc magazine editors' choice award - seven times in a row!", hasn't won much of anything lately. it used to be the finest out there, but, while i wish i could say that other players have caught up, it's been much more a case of music match stripping out previously supported features (cdplayer.ini is a biggie), while adding megabytes of blooooaattt. i was actually a bit surprised that they bothered to update it, as yahoo! was in the process of replacing this with yahoo! music engine. coincidentally, today yahoo! announced a huge "realignment" of their consumer businesses and i wouldn't be a bit surprised if they are getting ready to scuttle their music offering, by either discontinuing it or spinning it back out as a separate (music match?) entity once more. food for thought.

just tried it, v1.42. copied an executable on a drive, deleted it (shift+delete), run recuva, select *.exe as filter, scan took 10 seconds, found the file i just deleted, highlights it with a green icon (it found really old files as well, but highlighted them red as i'd expect), click on it, recover to my c drive, i'm told the file is recovered successfully, run the exe from the c drive and it works as advertised, nice easy interface, quick scan, and reliable colouring of the recoverable files.i can't think of any reason to deduce any points, so it gets a 5.

i don't know if it's useless or not, i guess it's worth having it as an extra check.anyway, installing latest version before patch tuesday like today prevents updates from not only installing it, bun running it, saving an extra 10 minutes or so, for those patching on-line. the application is always served minutes before the patch is released: eat well :)

i have spent a couple of years testing uninstallers and have not been overwhelmed or even "whelmed" by what was available for free or for fee. no matter what i experimented with, there was always trash left behind, either in registry entries or files or folders. in installed revo and played with it in virtual mode and was surpirsed by what i didn't find. i made the move to a regular install and went at it again. i still liked what i was seeing. the only hitch i found turned out to be a problem with my system and not revo uninstaller. i liked the idea of tracking an installation so i sprang for the fee and tried it again. i tried it again with two versions fo the same program in the same directory which would leave overlap in some of the dll files. using the uninstall function in conjunction with the traced install, i played and uninstalled and reinstalled the two versions. never did it bark at me or leave an unexpected result. i still like the free version but have found the fee version to be outstanding and 100% trustworthy. with al the work i do and being the perpetual tinkerer, it has been worth every penny. thanks revo!

mo-search saved my life - or at least hours and hours of work. i've been doing a lot of revision of a lengthy academic paper and in cutting and pasting footnotes, i lost some of my original source documentation. fortunately, i had saved a pre-revision copy and, with appropriate word choices, i was able to use mo-search to find the unedited footnotes in the unrevised manuscript to get me straightened out again in the revision document. i have lots and lots of word files on my computer and i've found this program to be a tremendous help. you have to noodle around in it a bit to find all the features, but it's worth it. one hint i've found is that when you get ready to open a word document (either file or folder), you can click on mo-search from that screen and search just that file or folder. it really is a terrific program. thank you to the software writer for making it available.

ever since win98 i've pined for a winipconfig replacement; this one's pretty good. it also has port scanning and other goodies. one improvement/fix i'd recommend: the dns server ip addresses run too closely together; they should be separated by commas or semicolons. also a button to open network settings would be nice, but hey, now i'm just being picky. well done!i did get the following error when i closed it during a port scan (easy to do if forget you started a lengthy scan):"violation d'acces a l'adresse 00402fac das le module 'hoverip.exe'. lecture de l'adresse ffffffff."then when i stopped the scan, the program closed. i tested this a bit and it seems consistent. it should probably refuse to close until all scans are stopped, or give an are you sure in such cases.anyway, nice job. five stars!
